The 2016 Grand Mayne is hitting its stride with palate-pleasing freshness that cuts right through the black and blue fruit opulence. The finish reaffirms the pedigree with beautiful purity, polish, and tremendous length on the finish.
The property is marked by its natural amphitheater shape with the highest slopes dedicated to limestone flowing down to clay influenced soils. A Merlot-dominated blend with a quart part Cabernet Franc. The elevage is 18 months in 60% new French barrique and 40% in one year aged barrique.
