Dominique Lafon needs no introduction to Burgundy lovers. Since taking the reins at Domaine des Comtes Lafon in 1985, he has become one of the undisputed masters of Chardonnay, elevating Meursault and the Côte de Beaune to cult status. Alongside Roulot and Coche, Lafon forms the holy trinity of white Burgundy, with wines that collectors chase worldwide.

The 2023 vintage is already being hailed as a triumph: radiant fruit, crystalline purity, and terroir expression sharpened by biodynamic farming. These wines are not négociant bottlings—they are pure Lafon, grown and vinified with the same rigor as his domaine holdings. While Chardonnay is Lafon’s jam, don’t sleep on the two Pinot Noir offerings. They are mineral-laden with plenty of cut and mouthwatering acidity.

A Pinot Noir of seductive charm: juicy cherry, rose petal, and spice wrapped in silky tannins. Lafon’s biodynamic farming brings vibrancy and lift, making this a Beaune of uncommon refinement. Only seven barrels produced in 2023, one new.
