2022 Château Beaucastel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

One of the defining estates of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and a benchmark for the appellation’s depth and complexity. Beaucastel brings the pack its grandest expression: dark fruit, Provençal herbs, earth, spice, and formidable structure, built from the extraordinary diversity of grapes that has long distinguished this historic domaine.

2023 Domaine Font de Courtedune, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

The purest expression of Grenache in the pack. Caroline Charrier’s grandparents purchased their farm in Courthézon in 1943, beside Château Rayas on the eastern edge of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Their vineyards were planted on the area’s prized sandy soils, a terroir particularly celebrated for giving Grenache exceptional perfume, finesse, and transparency. Courtedune takes its name from the ancient name for Courthézon, with “dune” referring to the sand beneath the vines. Here, ancient bush vines provide a remarkable 99% Grenache cuvée, fermented with whole bunches and raised entirely in concrete. There is no oak to obscure the fruit and no attempt to manufacture power. Instead, this is Châteauneuf stripped to its essentials: silky red fruit, wild herbs, spice, floral perfume, and the haunting delicacy that makes sandy-soil Grenache one of the appellation’s most captivating expressions.

2022 Domaine Bosquet des Papes, Châteauneuf-du-Pape "À la Gloire de Mon Grand-Père"

The pack finishes with Châteauneuf at its most elemental: old-vine Grenache, concentration, and sun-baked terroir. “À la Gloire de Mon Grand-Père” delivers the appellation’s intoxicating side, layering ripe red and black fruit with garrigue, spice, and mineral intensity while retaining the lift that separates great Châteauneuf from simple power.
