Our 12th Anniversary is here, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone at SommSelect. To all of our customers and wine club members who have helped make SommSelect what it is today, we extend our most sincere thanks for your continued support.
Since 2014, our mission has remained remarkably simple: bring exceptional wine to more people, without compromising what makes wine exceptional in the first place. Over the past 12 years, that has meant traveling to vineyards, meeting the people behind the bottles, tasting thousands of wines, and constantly searching for producers who offer something genuine, distinctive, and worth sharing.
We take that responsibility seriously. Our Master Sommelier-led team tastes every bottle before it reaches SommSelect, evaluating each wine for quality, authenticity, character, and value. We don't simply rely on scores, reputation, or marketing. We taste the wine ourselves. We ask whether it has something to say about where it comes from, who made it, and why it deserves a place in your glass.
Great wine begins in the vineyard, which is why we spend so much time seeking out the growers and producers who care deeply about their land. From family-owned estates in the great wine regions of Europe to remarkable vineyards across the United States and beyond, we look for wines that reflect their origins rather than conform to a predetermined style.
We have always rejected the industrialization of wine. Every bottle is tasted and approved for exceptional value and authenticity. No Mega Purple. No cosmetic additives. No flavor enhancers. No shortcuts designed to make mediocre wine taste expensive. No wines built by marketing departments. No manufactured luxury.
Just honest farming, honest winemaking, and bottles that actually reflect where they came from. Vineyards instead of focus groups. Growers instead of brand managers. Wines with something real to say.
That philosophy has guided us for 12 years, and it remains at the heart of everything we do. Whether you discover a bottle through a Daily Discovery, one of our Wine Clubs, our Concierge team, or the Wine Shop, the standard is the same: we taste it, we believe in it, and we believe it is worth sharing with you.
Wine has given us the opportunity to travel the world, build relationships with remarkable producers, and tell stories that deserve to be heard. But none of that happens without you.
To everyone who has ordered a bottle, joined a club, shared one of our wines around a dinner table, or trusted us to help build your collection: thank you. Your support has allowed us to spend the last 12 years doing what we love—and to continue pursuing wine with the curiosity, rigor, and independence that brought us here in the first place.
