Just below the Musigny Grand Cru is the Premier Cru “Les Amoureuses,” which, as close followers of Burgundy are aware, is considered by many to be of Grand Cru quality. The De Vogüé domaine owns a little over half a hectare of vines in this site, which consistently produces a wine of incredible longevity and fine-tuned perfume. This wine, from the exquisitely balanced 2005 vintage, is in a beautiful place right now—a Pinot Noir of operatic dimension and length. Just incredible!
