2024 Jean-Marc Pillot, Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc 1er Cru "Les Macherelles"

For years, Jean-Marc Pillot has been a core pillar of our White Burgundy program—a producer whose wines consistently deliver laser-sharp focus, rich soil character, and pure fruit. Now in his fourth generation of winemaking in Chassagne-Montrachet, Jean-Marc has elevated this historic domaine into one of the most reliable and sought-after estates in the Côte de Beaune.

Crafted by fourth-generation vigneron Jean-Marc Pillot, "Les Macherelles" is a benchmark Côte de Beaune premier cru situated on deep clay and limestone soils just north of Chassagne village. Sourced from a tiny 0.28-hectare micro-parcel of old Chardonnay vines planted in the early 1950s, this wine undergoes 12 months of barrel aging followed by 6 months settling in stainless steel on fine lees. The result is a strikingly focused White Burgundy defined by crushed-rock minerality, vibrant lime zest, and a long, saline finish built for cellaring.
