2023 Oeno Π (Oeno P), Assyrtiko "Tria Ampelia" Santorini

This is the kind of wine that haunts you—a discovery so profound that it remains etched in your memory long after the last drop is gone. When we first tasted the 2023 Oeno Π 'Tria Ampelia' at a premier importer tasting, Paris Sigalas’ latest masterpiece didn’t just hold its own—it stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest Cru White Burgundy and elite German Rieslings. To be clear, this is not your entry-level Greek white price point, but then again, this is not any ordinary wine—it is a rare, small-batch release from the "Father of Assyrtiko" that has just landed stateside.

This rare, small-batch release from the "Father of Assyrtiko" has just landed stateside. You’ll be hard-pressed to find this in retail channels—our VIP Exclusive price is the best in the nation on two or more bottles—secure yours before this limited release disappears. For those who live for the focused, mineral edge of a Raveneau Chablis or a rich and creamy Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne effort, this is an essential addition to the cellar.

As the definitive pioneer of the modern Greek wine renaissance, Paris Sigalas single-handedly put Santorini on the global map before selling his shares at his namesake estate in 2020. Far from stepping away, he used that transition to fund a "return to roots" passion project: Oeno Π (Oeno P). Operating out of his family’s original, generations-old winery, he is now producing ultra-limited wines that reflect forty years of expertise without the constraints of a large-scale winery.

The "Tria Ampelia" (Three Vineyards) is the pinnacle of this project, sourcing 60-year-old vines from three distinct villages to achieve the perfect balance of power, acidity, and finesse. Handled with obsessive care—including a vertical Champagne basket press and 16 months in Italian clay amphorae—the wine has achieved universal acclaim from the industry's toughest critics. Wine Advocate, Vinous, and Decanter all agree on its world-class stature, awarding this vintage a massive 94-96 point range across the board.

Critical Acclaim:

Robert Parker Wine Advocate Logo

94-96 Points, Wine Advocate:

“In a sense, this is an extension of what Paris Sigalas achieved back at Domaine Sigalas with his legendary blend of Assyrtiko from the seven villages. Only this wine is a blend of fruit from three villages (Fira, Megalochori and Akrotiri), each with fruit from Kouloura basket vines that are 60 years old or more. The wine ages in clay amphorae for 16 months. Tria Ampelia is textured and rich with ripe fruit aromas and a special oomph that comes with lemon meringue pie and creamy tangerine. You feel the softness of careful lees management and b'tonnage. No malolactic fermentation occurs on these whites."

Vinous Wine Media Logo

94 Points, Vinous Media:

" … opens with pronounced stony citrus, wet stone and sprinkles of jasmine. Totally refined and ultra-tensile, the medium- to full-bodied 2023 hit the palate with impressive inner energy persisting all the way through to the long, subtly smoky and salty finish that lasts for over a minute."

Decanter Magazine Logo

94 Points, Decanter Magazine:

"Very bright and pure, with a nose humming of fresh lemon, pith and shortbread. On the palate there's a lovely generous, creamy roundness, counterbalanced with that tantalising flavour of sablé Breton, a chalky texture and fizzle of ozone on the finish. Compelling and complex but feels like it has an extra gear to it " one to watch as it develops."
