He continues to craft Rieslings with the greatest level of balance possible. Year in and year out, Dönnhoff single-site Rieslings are strikingly precise, never homogenous, and always a crystal clear expression of site and vintage. 

Over the years, the prestige and desirability of Dönnhoff have skyrocketed to the point where they rank as the top producer of their region and are constantly vying for the undisputed Riesling Champion of the world. 

We consider Riesling of this quality to be the only varietal blue chip that can hold up in the cellar to top-tier White Burgundy for a fraction of the price. Today’s offerings can easily be cellared for another 10 to 15 years. Furthermore, Spätlese Pradikat wines are one of the most versatile food pairing wines out there with their pristine natural sugar ripeness tempered with laser, mouthwatering acidity.

Oberhäuser Brücke is the smallest single vineyard (1.1ha) in this valley and a monopole site directly by the river, which regulates the temperature. Grey slate bedrock with loam and volcanic elements. Due to wide diurnal temperature swings along the river, Brücke often ripens even later than in the Hermannshöhle. Fermented and aged in stainless steel vats.
