2022 Domaine Fleuron de Liot, Saint-Estèpheis produced by the Negrier family at their Bordeaux estate, a welcome rarity in a region now dominated by larger corporate ownership. Henri Negrier, who learned his trade as cellar master at Sociando-Mallet, brings that Left Bank sensibility to this small Saint-Estèphe holding, where gravel soils and old vines give the wine its mix of grip, freshness, and depth.
The estate sits just north of Saint-Estèphe in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, close enough to share the appellation’s cool estuary influence and gravel-driven character. In 2009, the family expanded into Fleuron de Liot, a well-sited micro-production parcel with serious potential; the result is a Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend that beautifully balances dark fruit, spice, and structure with surprising polish.
Why You’ll Love It

Pure gravel soils, giving the wine lift, tension, and classic Saint-Estèphe grip.
Serious value for cellar-worthy Bordeaux with black fruit, spice, and cigar box detail.
