The name "Poruzots" stems from the latin plural petrosa, or "rocky place". De Montille's 0.63 hectares parcel is Poruzots "Dessous", the stonier section of the vineyard located next to the famed "Les Genevrieres". This vineyard benefits from early harvesting to keep its structural tension.This 1er Cru is celebrated for its power and "fat," delivering a broad, muscular palate balanced by the estate’s signature acidity.
