2025 Quinta do Boição / Enoport, Morgado de Bucelas "Puro Calcárico" Arinto, Bucelas DOC
Bucelas is a tiny, historic white wine enclave located just north of Lisbon, renowned since Roman and Shakespearean times as the "Prince of Portuguese Whites." Sourced from Quinta do Boição's highest-elevation hillside plots, "Puro Calcárico" (literally "pure limestone") is an unoaked, terroir-driven tribute to the subregion's geologic foundation: hard, fossil-rich Cretaceous limestone and calcareous marl.
Farmed on Atlantic-influenced slopes where cool morning fogs protect the grapes' naturally electric acidity, the 100% Arinto fruit was cold-fermented with indigenous and selected yeasts in stainless steel, then matured on fine lees with regular bâtonnage. The result is a linear, chiseled dry white of piercing precision: green apple, lime blossom, crushed oyster shell, grapefruit pith, and an unmistakable marine salinity that drives an energetic, mouth-cleansing finish.
Why You'll Love It
100% Arinto from the hard Cretaceous limestone soils of Portugal's historic Bucelas DOC.
Pure stainless steel and lees aging deliver a razor-sharp, mineral-focused Atlantic profile.
Striking aromatic clarity of green citrus, white flowers, sea spray, and chalky tension.

No decanting needed; open and serve directly from the bottle.
