Crissante Alessandria is a small family estate in Santa Maria, a hamlet of La Morra in the heart of the Barolo zone. Luca Alessandria now runs the domaine, farming tiny organic plots on the chalky clay-limestone known as Marne di Sant'Agata Fossili. Their Langhe Nebbiolo comes from younger vines within the family's Barolo-designated vineyards in La Morra.
The 2022 fermented with native yeasts in temperature-controlled vats and aged 12 months in large Slavonian oak botti and neutral barrels. It has all the charm La Morra is known for: wild raspberry, sour cherry, orange peel, violet and crushed limestone, with silky tannins and classic Nebbiolo drive.
