2023 Boyer-Martenot, Bourgogne Blanc "Côte d'Or"

The line between regional Burgundy and village-level Meursault has completely dissolved in the hands of Vincent Boyer of Domaine Boyer-Martenot. For this exceptional bottling, the fruit is drawn entirely from three estate-owned plots nestled on the Meursault plains: Sous la Velle, Les Pellans, and Les Grandes Coutures. Here, the vines range from 50 to more than 70 years old. This level of vine age is practically unheard of for a standard Bourgogne Blanc, yielding an old-vine concentration and depth of flavor that feels far more like a proper village wine than a casual regional pour—making this an absolute must-have for the Chardonnay purists.

A "Baby Meursault" in all but name. Sourced from prized estate-owned village plots: Sous la Velle, Les Pellans, and Les Grandes Coutures.

On the palate, it delivers an immediately mouthwatering core of preserved lemon, white peach, and green apple, framed by a striking streak of chalky minerality and a hint of roasted hazelnut. Because Vincent utilizes older French oak followed by eight months of resting in concrete eggs, the focus remains squarely on pristine fruit and chiseled definition. It is a bright, textured, and deeply savory white that offers bonafide Meursault quality minus the triple-digit price tag—making it an absolute must-have for everyday drinking while your investment bottles rest.

To sweeten the allocation, we secured a microscopic parcel of Boyer-Martenot’s single-vineyard Lieu-Dit Les Tillets alongside three legendary Premier Crus: Charmes, Genevrières, and Perrières. You can explore these rare, cellar-worthy bottles on our Meursault Collection Page to see the full lineup. Pop the vibrant Côte d'Or Blanc tonight, and let these historic crus develop gracefully in your cellar over the next 5 to 15 years.

Santé!
