2024 Ridgecrest, Pinot Gris Old Vine Estate "40th Harvest Anniversary", Ribbon Ridge

Ridgecrest Herb and Vine, founded by Oregon wine pioneer Harry Peterson-Nedry in 1980, holds a monumental place in Willamette Valley history as the very first vineyard planted in the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The "40th Harvest Anniversary" bottling celebrates four decades of estate farming on deep Willakenzie (marine sedimentary) soils.

Farmed sustainably, this old-vine Pinot Gris was fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks to highlight the intensity of 1980s plantings. The 2024 anniversary release offers remarkable weight and concentration without heavy oak: ripe Asian pear, white peach, melon, honeycomb, and crushed oyster shell, backed by vibrant, mouthwatering sedimentary minerality.

Why You'll Love It

  • Sourced from the historic, original 1980 estate plantings that established the Ribbon Ridge AVA.
  • Special "40th Harvest Anniversary" release showcasing old-vine intensity and focus.
  • Pure stainless-steel maturation yields vibrant orchard fruit, honeysuckle, and marine soil drive.

How To Serve It

  • Serve chilled between 48°F and 52°F.
  • No decanting needed; open and serve directly from bottle.
  • Pour into all-purpose stems to focus its rich orchard fruit and mineral perfume.
  • Pair with roasted chicken, seared scallops, pork chops with apples, or goat cheese.
