Viñedos del Contino was Rioja’s first true single-estate winery, established by CVNE to showcase terroir-driven Rioja long before it became fashionable. All wines come from vineyards surrounding a historic manor, allowing for precise site expression.

The 1982 vintage produced wines of exceptional balance, making it ideal for long aging. Contino Reserva from this era blends classic Rioja structure with estate specificity, showing layered red fruit, spice, balsamic notes and evolving earthiness with age.

This wine sits at the intersection of tradition and innovation — an early example of Rioja moving toward estate identity while preserving its classical soul.
