Recognizing the untapped potential of southern Burgundy, Dominique Lafon partnered with long-time friend and Mâconnais specialist Olivier Merlin to acquire the historic Château des Quarts estate. This collaboration brings Lafon’s legendary Meursault expertise and strict farming ethos directly to the limestone-rich hills of Pouilly-Fuissé. Together, they have set out to produce world-class Chardonnay that challenges the traditional hierarchy of the Côte d'Or.

"Clos des Quarts" is the crown jewel of the property, a walled, two-hectare monopole vineyard boasting old vines planted entirely on prime clay-limestone soils. The site’s eastern exposure allows for slow, even ripening, resulting in a wine of immense concentration and striking mineral tension. It opens with intense aromas of ripe peach, lemon curd, and crushed oyster shell, driving toward a powerful, deeply resonant finish.
