Dominique Lafon’s pioneering work in organic and biodynamic viticulture during the 1990s forever changed the trajectory of Domaine des Comtes Lafon. By eliminating synthetic chemicals and focusing on soil health, he unlocked a new level of energy in his wines, perfectly demonstrated in his single-vineyard village cuvées. His approach is entirely hands-off in the cellar, utilizing native yeasts and minimal intervention to preserve the specific voice of each micro-terroir.

"Désirée" is a unique parcel situated at the southern end of Meursault, near the border of Puligny, featuring a slightly warmer microclimate and deep, red clay soils. This specific terroir yields a wine of immediate pleasure and texture, offering a broader, more voluptuous mouthfeel than his other village bottlings. Ripe Bosc pear, acacia honey, and warm baking spices dominate the glass, balanced beautifully by a streak of vibrant citrus acidity.
