Dominique Lafon Quartet

For decades, the name Dominique Lafon has been synonymous with the pinnacle of white Burgundy—a master of Meursault whose wines are objects of desire for collectors worldwide. With his eponymous micro-négociant project, Lafon applies his legendary touch and biodynamic philosophy to a broader range of terroirs, crafting wines of breathtaking purity and precision. This is your opportunity to experience the Lafon magic across four distinct appellations.

This collection is a masterclass in Burgundy, showcasing both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the brilliant 2023 vintage. From a thrilling Bourgogne Blanc to a Premier Cru Beaune, each bottle is a testament to Lafon's meticulous farming and minimalist cellar work. These are wines of transparency, energy, and profound sense of place.

A Note on Availability: These are extremely limited, small-production wines. The Pernand-Vergelesses and Premier Cru Beaune are from lots of just seven barrels each. This collection represents a rare opportunity to acquire a range of Dominique Lafon's 2023s.

This 4-bottle collection includes one of each of the following wines:

  • 2023 Dominique Lafon, Bourgogne Blanc: This is everyday Burgundy elevated to something thrilling, with biodynamic clarity shining through. Sourced from 20 to 50-year-old Chardonnay vines in Meursault (“Les Grandes Coutures”) and Puligny-Montrachet (“Les Femelottes”), this is a wine that punches far above its weight. Aged for 12 months in used barrels with little to no bâtonnage (lees stirring), it offers remarkable texture and complexity.
  • 2023 Dominique Lafon, Pernand-Vergelesses Blanc: A wine of tension and verve, with notes of white flowers, crushed stone, and a saline edge. Lafon’s touch transforms this cool, hillside terroir into a wine of crystalline precision and electric energy, perfect for lovers of racy, mineral-driven Chardonnay. Fermented and aged for 8-10 months in oak (25% new), this is a stunningly focused white from a tiny, seven-barrel production.
  • 2023 Dominique Lafon, Beaune, 1er Cru "Les Epenottes": A Pinot Noir of seductive charm and surprising depth. Juicy cherry, rose petal, and baking spice notes are wrapped in silky, refined tannins. Lafon’s biodynamic farming brings a vibrant energy and lift, making this a Beaune of uncommon elegance. Sourced from a superb Premier Cru site, this is another micro-production of just seven barrels (one new).
  • 2023 Dominique Lafon, Volnay AOC Village: This is pure Volnay perfume in a glass—expressive aromas of red berries, violets, and a whisper of damp earth. The palate is supple, graceful, and utterly seamless, capturing the soulful, ethereal quality of Volnay with Lafon’s hallmark precision. Crafted with a traditional élevage of 12–18 months in barrel with modest new oak, this is a bottle to drink now for its youthful charm or cellar for a decade to unlock further complexity
