Azienda Agricola Mossio Fratelli has farmed Rodello's Langhe hills for four generations since the 1960s. Current stewards Valerio and Remo Mossio orgnically farm and craft focused lineup of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo d'Alba—from an historic plot where a Roman milestone "GAMVS" marks a once ancient trade routes through their property.
The'Piano delli Perdoni' Dolcetto d'Alba is stunningly pure. Sourcing a 7ha cru at 420m elevation where 40 year old vines dig into sandy, silt/loam and clay soils. Vines are Guyot trained with green harvest; Farmed certified organic, hand-picked late in September, de-stemmed and fermented in steel with a 10-day maceration period at controlled temperatures. Racked and aged an additional 10 months before bottling unfiltered. 2 additional months of bottle rest prior to release—pure, grippy, lip-smacking blackberry-spice youthful expression.
