2021 Fratelli Alessandria, Barolo del Comune di Verduno
Every year around this time, we get amped to offer our limited allocation of Fratelli Alessandria’s 2021 Barolo crus and village blend. Once a hidden gem, Alessandria is now firmly on allocation—driven by soaring demand and critical acclaim, especially for the Monvigliero di Verduno, which rivals G.B. Burlotto’s $350+ bottling.
Fratelli Alessandria continues to raise the bar. Once dubbed “one of Piedmont’s under-the-radar jewels” by Antonio Galloni, the estate now sits among the elite producers of Verduno. Their wines lean more toward hedonistic Cru Chambolle-Musigny Burgundy than the iron-fisted Barolo stereotype—perfumed, elegant, and deeply expressive.

“ … a stunner, starting with its intense fragrance of violet, rose, perfumed berry, forest floor and new leather. The palate is full-bodied and utterly delicious,” - Kerin O’Keefe, 02/25
