Domaine Dujac’s list of single-vineyard bottlings, from a stunning assortment of Burgundy’s greatest Premier and Grand Crus, drives Burgundy collectors mad with desire. As such, we are only ever able to acquire tiny allocations of their wines, all of which are made in tiny quantities. This silken red, like all Dujac reds, incorporates a substantial percentage of whole grape clusters during fermentation, deriving spice and crunch from the ripe grape stems. Nevertheless, the Dujac signature is velvety opulence and uncommon concentration, which this ’18 has on full, glorious display. These are consistently some of the most sought-after, critically acclaimed red wines in Burgundy, and are priced accordingly.
