We always set out to find wines with palpable connections to their places of origin, and this month’s selection was especially successful on that front: Kicking things off is an evocative volcanic white from the “flaming fields” of Naples, Italy, and there are also two of the world’s most classic examples of wine grown in granitic soil: Rías Baixas Albariño and Beaujolais from the Cru village of Fleurie. Enjoy!

  • 2022 La Sibilla Campi Flegrei Falanghina “Cruna del Lago” (Campania, Italy): A vibrant white wine from volcanic soils, bursting with fresh sage, green pepper, and tropical fruit notes, underscored by crisp minerality—perfect for pairing with seafood or vegetable dishes.
  • 2020 Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Blanc (Provence, France): A biodynamic blend of Marsanne and Clairette with hints of golden apple, spiced pear, and briny sea salt. This versatile wine shines alongside scallops or roasted fowl.
  • 2022 Do Ferreiro Rías Baixas Albariño (Galicia, Spain): A benchmark Albariño with high acidity balanced by rich aromas of peach, honeysuckle, and jasmine. Its steely finish makes it an ideal companion for fresh seafood.
  • 2022 Grégoire Hoppenot Fleurie “Origines” (Beaujolais, France): A Cru Beaujolais that combines ripe fruit flavors with silky tannins and a long finish. This handcrafted wine pairs beautifully with poultry or charcuterie.
  • 2020 Musella Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso (Veneto, Italy): A biodynamic red with bright ruby hues and flavors of wild fruits and sweet spices. Its full-bodied profile complements red meats and aged cheeses.
  • Moric “Haus Marke Rot” Red Blend (Burgenland, Austria): A multi-vintage blend of Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Pinot Noir matured in wooden barrels. With dark aromas and structured character, it pairs wonderfully with hearty stews.

From fresh whites to complex reds, this collection invites you to savor the essence of Europe's finest vineyards.
