Caroline Bellavoine left a successful Parisian career to chase a dream that most would call impossible: becoming a vigneron in Burgundy with no family ties and no inherited land. What she achieved is nothing short of extraordinary. Working naturally, farming obsessively, raising five children as a single mother — she delivers wines of purity and finesse that stand shoulder to shoulder with benchmark names.
The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge is sourced from ~50-year-old vines on limestone and schist, fermented with native yeasts and raised gently in seasoned barrique. It pours a glowing ruby, unfurling Bing cherry, alpine strawberry, red currant, violets, rose petal, dried herbs, sous-bois, and cool mineral lift. Silky. Precise. Hauntingly aromatic. A baby Volnay in every way that matters.
Less than 200 cases exist globally, and our allocation is tiny.
