Walla Walla's fractured basalt bedrock and wind-blown loess soils yield Syrah with intense pepper, smoked meat, and floral perfume.

The 2018 vintage saw generous whole-cluster inclusion (~80%) and native yeast fermentation before aging for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels and large puncheons. The wine exhibits exceptional varietal focus: wild blueberries, crushed cassis, cured bacon, olive tapenade, lavender, and cracked black pepper, backed by fine-grained tannins and vibrant natural acidity.

Why You'll Love It

Flagship Walla Walla Syrah showing remarkable savory complexity and elegance.

High whole-cluster inclusion provides intense floral perfume, olive spice, and structure.

Pure basalt soil expression balancing dark berry weight with black pepper minerality.

How To Serve It

Serve at cool room temperature between 60°F and 63°F.

Decant for 45 minutes to let the whole-cluster pepper and bacon-fat aromatics unwind.

Pour into Bordeaux stems to handle its broad, savory structure.

Pair with roasted rack of lamb, venison medallions, braised short ribs, or duck confit.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0551/3628/8822/files/2018GramercyCellars_Syrah_WallaWallaValley_04f648d1-c0a0-4597-8e62-14730f3827b3.png?v=1793296993
