Graci 'Arcuria' Etna Bianco

Viticultural on the Island of Sicily is mysterious and diverse. It’s hard to believe that anyone would want to tend to vines in such close proximity to a live volcano. At Graci, young Aiello Graci is committed to the native grape varietals and the traditions that have been laid down centuries before he and his family farmed the land. Mr. Graci notes: “This is a place where it’s possible to have a balance between elegance and rusticity. This sensation is hard to find anywhere else.” This is high-altitude grape growing at its finest. We guarantee that you’ll fall in love with the fragrant aromatics and texture of the native Carricante. As it ages, it will take on petrol notes akin to German Riesling. The palate is rich, long and energizing along the lines of a White Burgundy. This 2017 offering amazed us from its luminous yellow hue to its irresistible honey laced citrus fruit. It’s delicate but deep with purity on the nose dominated by white flowers and lemon zest. Almond paste intertwines with succulent lemon candy and ripe nectarine. The finish is fresh and electric with a hint of a crushed stones. The super long finish will certainly beckon your attention. A seafood risotto preparation is the perfect match for this amazing white.

Northwestern Italy

Piedmont

Italy’s Piedmont region is really a wine “nation”unto itself, producing world-class renditions of every type of wine imaginable: red, white, sparkling, sweet...you name it! However, many wine lovers fixate on the region’s most famous appellations—Barolo and Barbaresco—and the inimitable native red that powers these wines:Nebbiolo.

Tuscany

Chianti

The area known as “Chianti” covers a major chunk of Central Tuscany, from Pisa to Florence to Siena to Arezzo—and beyond. Any wine with “Chianti” in its name is going to contain somewhere between 70% to 100% Sangiovese, and there are eight geographically specific sub-regions under the broader Chianti umbrella.
